It is important that you follow the individual routine which has been developed for the child by their CF physio. The following is an example of a routine:
3 positions with percussion/pats, 2 times per day, morning and night, with at least 4 hours between each session
Different positions in each session, completing all 6 positions each day, eg:
7AM: upper lobes front and back, and front of bases.
3PM: back of bases, and right and left sides
If on antibiotic nebs (tobramycin), these should be taken after physio
Pulmozyme should not be taken immediately before physio, wait at least 30 minutes or take Pulmozyme after physio or before bed, as prescribed.
