Order of Treatment

Bronchodilators for example ventolin) and Bronchitol should be taken before PEP, if prescribed.

Hypertonic Saline (HTS) may be taken before PEP, or combined with PEP, according to the individual treatment plan.

Antibiotic nebs (if prescribed) should be taken after PEP, and NEVER combined with PEP.

If using Pulmozyme, this may be prescribed to be taken at least half an hour before PEP, or after PEP, or before bed, to give it more time to work in the lungs.
